We completed a scheduled HVAC hygiene service for an established health club that houses a natatorium, infrared sauna, and open fitness floor. Moisture from the pool deck and temperature swings from the sauna had loaded the supply and return trunks with lint, corrosion scale, and condensate slime, so over two night shifts we staged HEPA-filtered negative-air machines at each rooftop unit, mechanically agitated every duct run, and detailed the VAV boxes serving the cardio mezzanine and locker rooms. The pool-side air handler coils, drain pans, and condensate lines were flushed and treated with EPA-registered biocide, the infrared sauna’s dedicated exhaust was brushed and sanitized, and every diffuser, grille, and return was washed before reinstallation. Final airflow balancing and particulate sampling confirmed the system was clean, odor-free, and ready for another maintenance cycle without disrupting members or class schedules.
