Project Overview
Airmatic’s administrative wing had never received a thorough HVAC cleaning, and dust buildup was affecting airflow and filtration. WellDuct’s goal was to reset the entire office ventilation system without disrupting day-to-day operations.
Challenges
• Ceiling diffusers were sealed tightly to the ceiling grid and not directly serviceable. • Each diffuser was fed by flexible supply branches tucked above the drop ceiling, requiring careful disassembly to access the duct interior. • The office remained open, so cleanliness and low noise were essential.
What We Delivered
- Protective Setup: We covered desks, electronics, and flooring within each zone to prevent any dust from settling during the cleaning process.
- Diffuser Isolation & Cleaning:
• From room to room, our technicians detached each ceiling diffuser, labeling them for accurate re-installation. • We cleaned the diffusers at ground level, removing accumulated dust and sanitizing the surfaces before setting them aside.
- Flexible Branch Access:
• With the diffusers removed, we had direct access to the flexible supply branches. • Using mechanical agitation tools and HEPA-filtered vacuums, we cleaned each branch thoroughly—something that couldn’t be done while the diffusers were in place.
- Main Duct & Plenum Service:
• Supply and return trunks were agitated and vacuumed section by section. • Return grilles and plenums received the same treatment, ensuring both sides of the air cycle were reset.
- System Reassembly & Balance:
• Every diffuser was reinstalled, ensuring secure connections to the flexible branches. • We verified proper airflow, adjusting as needed so the entire office enjoyed balanced comfort.
